Canary Islands
Spanish archipelago of mountainous islands with a volcanic origin located in the Atlantic Ocean to the north-west of the African coastline belonging to Macaronesia. The archipelago consists of several uninhabited islands and seven inhabited islands: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.
The Canary Islands are a real paradise for lovers of exotic, volcanic beaches, beautiful nature and it is a perfect place for sailing, swimming and sunbathing - the Canary Islands are known for their everlasting spring. Temperatures in the winter months vary from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius. The best time to sail is in the autumn and winter months.
The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), in which our two catamarans take part, start every year from the Canary Islands. In November in Gran Canaria, several hundred yachts sail to the Caribbean to reach St. Lucia in the best possible time. This is a challenge for all enthusiasts and lovers of the ocean and extreme adventures!
